| Tusl2-C + Tualatin = 1413Mhz! I just finished installing my Tusl2-C. The Tualatin cpu is a screamer. I'm stable at 1413Mhz! The crazy thing is, you can't change your cpu core voltage, 1.5v thats it - only for the Tualatin cpu. Any other cpu you can adjust away. I have not pushed the cpu any further. I'm going to break it in at 1413 for a few days. If anyone has any questions, fire away. I'm also working with MAD to get some tweaked Bios' out.

| Zbone, All you have to do to get a default voltage of 1.675 is wrap VID1 and VID2. If you need the Intel spec sheet on the desktop Tualatins let me know...I can either give you a link or e-mail it to you. I had to go up to about 1.65V to get stability at 167 FSB(1.5 GHZ) on my ST6. |

There is a good review on tualatin overclocking issues at http://www.3dcenter.de/artikel/2001/07-30b.php3 It's in german language, but you may want to look at the tabulations. greetings, RAL (I have that TUSL2-C but no Tualatin yet)

I'll just go ahead and give you the link since I don't have your e-mail address: http://developer.intel.com/design/pe...s/24976501.pdf The voltage chart is on page 19. If you look at the 1.475V setting you will notice that only pins VID0 and VID1 are connected to the VSS pin(it's done internally and there's no way to change it). If you then take a look at 1.675V you will notice that the only additional pin that is connected to VSS is VID2(all the other pins are the same). You can indirectly connect VID2 to VSS by actually connecting VID1 to VID2. To see where the pins are located, you can get a diagram on page 59. Notice that VID1 and VID2 are both pretty close to the edge and easy to get to. There's probably no way to wire VSS to VID2 directly since they're not next to each other. Once again, connecting VID1 to VID2 does the same thing. Last edited by jmsandrsn : 08-12-2001 at 06:29 PM.

| Z, Just got mine and installed it today. Are you having any problems running your prophet 3. I can't get it to go above 139 mem speed. ARGH. I figured they would have fixed that problem by now ! How are you and the MAD doing on the tweaked version? Let me know if I can help in any way ! Tim

| Z, Sure no problem, I'll try anything. I flashed with the CUSL2 1008.007 tweaked a bit ago. It kicks serious BUTT ! Major increases, visually by the eye also ! P4 bench scores is what I've been getting. Damn, graphics look somewhat better too. For some reason the colors look better in 3D2001 ! Beats me ? I really was astonished when it worked ! While it is booting it writes something like ESCD can't write or something to that effect. All I know is it WORKS ! Only reason I tried it is that this board is 99% the same as a CUSL2.I'll be glad to work along with ya'll. Don't email me, just keep it on this thread. Astonished, Tim

| The mad stated that the Tusl2-C was pretty much identical to the Cusl2 except for the voltage regulator.

| Hey Z, I was wondering if you heard anything from the MAD about the tweaked version for the TUSL2C board recently ? How it is coming along ? I still haven't had any probs with the CUSL2 version though. I would rather use the "official tweaked" if you know what I mean, thats all. Tim
