cel 700 (didn't overclock)
with FOP32-1(i change the stock intel hsf after i got the computer)

WinME

Ati rage furypro 32mb on AGP
(also with sound, network, modem on other slot)


i just got this board for almost a month...the AsusProbe (v2.12.08)occasionally pops up problem with the voltage dropping way low...i had to restart to stop the beeping alert

is the CPU chip faulty? or is it something else?
plez help me out!

Welcome to this messageboard!

The problem with the voltage spikes can be solved by flashing your bios to 1003 final+ and NOT using multiple hardware monitors. If you are using ASUS probe, make sure you download the latest version.

It's quite possibly your PSU that has the problem. The machine, especially the CPU and video card may be drawing huge amounts of power, and as devices are been used / loaded the power is dropping of. Is your PSU at least 300w? I say this cause I had a similar problem and was cured with a new PSU.

--the bios is v.1003 when i got the new mobo and there isn't any new bios (non-beta)from asus so far, so i haven't update any . i guess is not the Bios problem?

-and that the voltage drop low and stay low (+12v,+5v,+3.3v) the voltage didn't go back to normal level and keep beeping until i restart my computer

thanks subzero and watsonk for helping...

do u guys have any more advice? plez help out
