| 4 Line phone system A friend asked me to help him install 4 telephonelines through out his house. We are going to use cat5e cabling for this. I know with RJ11 connectors you can only have 3 lines. So does this mean we'll have to use RJ45 connectors for the phones?

| Re: 4 Line phone system Is he wanting to pickup all 4 lines on all the hand sets then yes you will have to use rj45 jacks and plugs. Also you will have to keep in mind the std color code for 4 line wiring stds. Even if he doesn't you will have to keep the color code std to be able to pick out each line individally at each jack. As well as to select which of the lines he wants on each 2 line phone..

| Re: 4 Line phone system His service is with comcast and got 4 line system. He wants all phones to be able to use the 4 lines in the house. Ill have to figure out the wiring i never did anything over 2 lines before, so this is new to me.
