| DNS Error Problem Hello everybody. I had absolutely no problems connecting to the internet until today. I am using the sys. in my sig. When trying to connect to any web site, either with IE or Firefox, I get a dsn error. If I connect using my MSN logon I have no problem. After I use the MSN software both IE and Firefox connect most of the time. I use verizon dsl and connect via a router. Any suggestions PLEASE. Thank You

| If you are still having the problem, go into command prompt and nslookup a major website ie google, msn and then enter the ip address in Firefox and see if it pulls it up. If it does then try ipconfig -flushdns If not disable the network adapter then go the the command prompt and try netsh -i -i -r -r which will reset the TCP/IP. Reboot and turn on the computer and enable the network adapter. And see if that works.

| Thanks h20-ski Resetting TCP/IP solved 50% of the problem. Firefox works but IE 7 still does not. Seems IE is so quick to come up with the DNS error. Like it has a very short timeout. Any other ideas? BTW IE sometimes connects but doesn't connect most of the time. When IE does connect the page only shows script but no graphics or pics . Thanks.

| The only other thing that I can think of is click the reset browser button in Internet Options -> Advanced -> down at the bottom. That is the first time in the 4 months that I have been working tech support that has happened where Firefox works but not IE.

| IE seems to function much better since I performed a scan with AVG Anti-Spyware and removed a few trojans on my system. My other Spyware programs did not pick them up. I still get an occasional dns error but very few. Thanks for the help.
