I noticed his had that too but how do i get around having to put a user id and password? |

| Well, my modem has the PPPoE stuff in it. It's easiest to set it up that way, just get the directions for the modem, and see IF it can be setup that way. A lot of older DSL modems have no routing functions, or have PPPoE functions in them. I suggest ditching that modem if that's the case, or getting a router for them. Routers can be setup to have the PPPoE stuff in them. Most new modems have the PPPoE info in them though. If you go through the network connection you can input the PPPoE stuff into there so it logs on automatically every time. Follow the link to do that. | Re: DSL Users needed The config ip was on a stick under his modem. I needed his user id and password and the access code. Put that into the modem and bingo everytime he turns his pc on internet is on ready to go. |
