frequent dsl disconnects


im using a speedstream 5100 modem for my dsl. i use sbc dsl. why do i disconnect in games (warcraft 3) but im still connected online?

I don't have a clue... let's see if SKI is still up to help you! It could be too much server traffic on the Warcraft server...

Anyway, why did you choose such a nick? Did you type randomly at your keyboard?

If you're still running that wireless NIC, see your old thread on wireless speed... Interesting info there on XP wireless zero-config breaking session for a few seconds every minute or so to search for new access points, along with a potential work-around (shut down the service once your wireless NIC has connected with your access point). This just might solve the prob. When you reboot everything goes back to normal...

Check your Ethernet cable connections and router config... see www.broadbandreports.com. They have setup info on most all of the current home routers in the forums...
