| I just got a new router but... I cant connect to the ip address that the instructions say the router has. Its saying to connect to 192.168.0.1 and when i try to connect it says it isnt there. The wireless router is a Netgear WGR614, all the computers can see each other and communicate etc But i want to be able to configure the settings for the router...any ideas? What am i missing here? Im using WinXp MCE on 1 machine, and WinXp Pro on the other 2, all have Service Pack 2 installed. |

| Go to a dos prompt and run 'ipconfig'. The default gateway is the address you should use to access your router config page.

| Also try ipconfig /release then ipconfig /renew. Alternately, just reboot. Your router is looking at your "old" IP address as assigned by your modem and doesn't like it. Your computer has to be in the 192.168.0.XX range to "see" your router. |
