Netgear WGT624

Just got this wireless router and set it up, but I can't seem to get it to connect with the wireless PCI card that I have installed.

I wanted to test out the connection and I've had this wireless PCI card lying around for a bit, so I slapped it in the computer and decided to give it a try. It's an ADM8211 card (it's a cheap one, I do believe). Now, I have the router set up for wireless connections, the drivers for the card are working, but it can't find any wireless networks to connect to when I hit refresh.

Any ideas?

With the Netgear, it excludes all MAC addresses by default. You will need to enable the MAC of your card in the MAC list in the Netgear for it to connect to the router. Also remember to set encryption on, set the same encryption codes for both the router and the card, set the SSID of the Netgear in your card and set the Netgear for infrastructure mode not ad hoc.

The Netgear. It asks for the Device Name and MAC Address when you go to add it.

The device name is the computer name. The MAC address should be on the card. It is a 12 digit number that looks like xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx

It is, however, getting a signal--the lights are going.

Right click Network/Properties. You will see the wireless card there. TCP/IP properties. First tab.

Is your wireless card at least now "seeing" the Netgear yet? And, we are jsut looking for connect, or can't it see it at all?
