| Re: PK5-E WiFi Limited or No Connectivity!! You are connecting but not getting an IP address from the router. We would need more info on your network. Is your computer set to automatically obtain an IP address?

| Re: PK5-E WiFi Limited or No Connectivity!! When it displays the details of the connection, it does not have Gateway, DNS and WNS. I have everything set to Auto detect, why does it not find those?

| Re: PK5-E WiFi Limited or No Connectivity!! Did you try going to Network Connections, right-clicking the icon for the particular connection device, and selecting "repair." What happens when you do this? Also, it might help if you told us some details about your network, as Rick indicated. What is the computer connected to? A cable modem, a wired router, something else? What device on the network serves as the DHCP host, and issues ip addresses, etc. Have you tried re-booting that device, whatever it is, by disconnecting and reconnecting it's power supply? The problem conceivably could be due to a freeze-up of that device that occurred subsequent to when you last used it with Vista. Regards, -- Al

| Re: PK5-E WiFi Limited or No Connectivity!! I apologize, I have a Linksys Wireless Router, and I have tried to repair with no luck. This is the same configuration as far as the router, computer settings(BIOS). Nothing has changed from when it worked with Vista. Thanks

| Re: PK5-E WiFi Limited or No Connectivity!! I see in the user comments on that board at NewEgg that several people said that in order to get the wireless to work properly they used a driver obtained from Realtek's site, rather than the driver supplied by Asus. That could be your answer, although it wasn't always clear if they were running Vista or XP. Also, for good measure, as I suggested try rebooting the Linksys or, alternatively, verifying that it works with a different computer. Regards, -- Al

| Re: PK5-E WiFi Limited or No Connectivity!! Have tried the Router reset\reboot with no luck. Where can I find the drivers for my board? All I saw from the Realtek sight were the 8187L and B. Both of those were not recognized when trying to install.

| Re: PK5-E WiFi Limited or No Connectivity!! Not sure what to suggest if those didn't work. I was just reporting what others said in the comments for that board at NewEgg. Nothing in the comments on the P5K-E is specific as to what Realtek driver was used, or where it was found. One person providing a comment on the P5K non-E indicated version 5.1273.111.2007 worked for him, but that no longer seems to appear on the Realtek site. Regards, -- Al
