slow download speed My internet connection is 15mbps up and 3mbps down...I have 3 pc's which are all connected w/ wireless cards and a 360 all on the same network supported by a D-Link wireless router. My internet doesnt lag at all even with all those devices using the internet connection simultaniously except one. The comp with the problem cant download past 2 mpbs while my other 2 comps download steady around 13 or 14mbps. I disabled the other pc's wireless connection so no bandwidth would be used while I ran a speed test on the problematic pc. The pc with the slower speed is closer to the router than the other 2 pc's and has a Wireless B card, not G like the others, can this be why its slower? Thought the only difference between A/B/G wireless cards was the range capabilities. ![]()

Forgot to mention I had already tried that, download speeds got close to 14.5mpbs. So it must be a prob with that wireless card...any other suggestions?

if your using wireless you wont see the full speed, thats normal for speeds to be a lot less on wireless then wired.

When I run speed tests on my other pc's, they use up almost all the bandwidth. My 2 pc's w/o the prob show no difference between an ethernet connection and a wireless conenction. Whether I run wireless or wired I get over 10mbps constantly except for one pc.
