| [Copying my thread from Linksys Forum. I'm getting no love there!] Installed WRT150N with two wired workstation, one wired shared enterprise printer, and a WPC300N on a notebook. Both workstations and notebook connect to the router nicely. This setup is in two different building. Building 1 has a Netopia Cayman 4436 ADSL modem with one workstation w/shares connected and the Linksys router connected (wired). Building 2 has the Linksys router, two workstations and a shared Gestetner enterprise printer (wired), and the notebook (wireless). Soon to add second notebook. I have the latest router firmware, and everything seems to connect to the router fine. The Linksys acquires the WAN IP with no issues, yet neither workstation, nor the notebook can connect to the Internet. I haven't tested the printer for an Inet connection. ------------------------------------------- I reconfigured this LAN/WLAN/WAN with static routes today. Added the IPs to the Routing Table, and still no Internet connection. It seems strange that this WRT150N will not allow an Internet connection while connected directly to the DSL modem, which is how it has been connected the entire time. Any suggestions anyone? ------------------------------------------ Something I did not state on the Linksys forum: I've upgraded this WRT150N w/dd-wrt v24 RC4 and all is well and working!

| Attempt 1: Right out of the box, dynamic LAN/WLAN/WAN and all acquired IPs, no Inet connection. Attempt 2: Complete static setup of LAN/WLAN/WAN. The Netopia modem will not validate any static IP entered for the route table; thus, no Inet connection. Attempt 3: Bridged modem, setup WRT150n for PPPoE & Gateway mode. Acquired PUBLIC WAN IP with no Inet connectivity for dynamic OR static workstation. I even had the ISP check for ping, and they receive ping response from WAN IP... Very strange if I do say so... ![]() Attempt 4: Changed setup. Netopia -> Switch -> 1 WS & WRT150N WRT150N (router mode) -> 2 WS & 1 Printer & 1 NB (all static) Will only allow Inet connection when plugged into the router's Ethernet side and NOT the WAN port. Problem is we're adding another workstation next week, and I need every Ethernet port... ********* This is driving me nuts. I spent at least three hours on the phone with Linksys and AT&T trying to resolve this today. Linksys will be calling back tomorrow. JC I've spent enough time troubleshooting this garbage! ********* One more thing if anyone can answer: This WRT150N should is capable of supporting B/G/N. I'm using WAP2/AES and have a few 802.11b adapters I can use. Problem is 802.11b only works with WEP. I have the router in Mixed Mode, but that does not allow WEP for B or G adapters... Any assistance with getting a B adapter to work would be greatly appreciated! ********* 11/24/2007 I gave up on getting the WAN port to function. Linksys has the malfunction on record as do I. The solution: Keep the modem connected to the LAN side of the router and placed the switch behind the router. So now they have four available ports for expansion, a stable wired/wireless Internet connection, and they can still access the shared workstation in the other building... It's not beautiful, but it works! ********* I see all the love you guys gave this thread. NONE... What's up with that?
