| Re: Hexus: "Sources" Confirm ABIT is Exiting MOBO Market I'm not surprised, I was to their website recently, and saw they didn't have hardly any motherboards listed, and nothing based on newer chipsets like the Intel P45 chipset.

| Re: Hexus: "Sources" Confirm ABIT is Exiting MOBO Market Yeah, several people got excited at their forums this week as ABIT finally announced an X48 MOBO in the EU. Probably too little too late if any of this is true.

| Re: Hexus: "Sources" Confirm ABIT is Exiting MOBO Market What also sucked is that in recent years, if this is true, is that ABIT developed a history of not putting out hardly any bios updates for their products.

| Re: Hexus: "Sources" Confirm ABIT is Exiting MOBO Market What a shame..... A lesson in spreading yourself too thin with too much expansion---too many products..... and forgetting who you are and what you do best...... Abit used to be the KING.... "made by overclockers----for overclockers....." Then they lost several key design folks---Oscar Wu, etc. and they tried to explore way too many markets instead of just sticking with VERY solid enthusiast motherboards..... I used to buy Abit boards specifically for fun and overclocking and have had a tremendous run of great boards over the years...... Even my "Universal" Abit 965 Quad GT was/is an outstanding board...... But when enthusiasts in the UK were the only ones putting out workable BIOS upgrades for it..... I knew the end was near......

| Re: Hexus: "Sources" Confirm ABIT is Exiting MOBO Market Yeah, if this is true, it is sad to the first company with software OCing getting out of the enthusiast MOBO business.

| Re: Hexus: "Sources" Confirm ABIT is Exiting MOBO Market Abit used to be the b*lls. I still have an N7F-S v2.0 sitting in a system (was using it to test Win Server 2008). Bye, bye Abit, sorry to see you go. |

My all time favorite GREAT overclocking "deal"..... a 2500+ Barton and an N7F-S...... Talk about getting WAY more than your money's worth..... With Nvidia "Sound Storm"-----superb onboard sound...... Incrdible buy at the time.....A 2500+Barton for $65 and the Mobo for $70 and-----when overclocked----(which was INCREDIBLY easy) it hung with basically anything Intel had out at the time..... for less than half the price...... Ah----those were the days.....

| Re: Hexus: "Sources" Confirm ABIT is Exiting MOBO Market Never had an Abit mobo ... Started with Asus, then Gigabyte, then MSI then ASRock with some Intel in between and how back to Asus.

| Re: Hexus: "Sources" Confirm ABIT is Exiting MOBO Market I had one ABIT board, it was the AT8 32X when I tried an AMD Crossfire rig, and had trouble with the ATI/ULI chipset combination. The ABIT was a good board, as I wasn't overclocking. Came back to Intel after that, and had a lot of trouble with the ASUS P5N32-E SLI board, ended up dumping that board, for my Intel D975XBX2 which doesn't give me a bit of trouble.

| Re: Hexus: "Sources" Confirm ABIT is Exiting MOBO Market You want old school, I use to have an Abit BH6. That thing was awesome. I would overclock my celeron 300 by 50% up to 450. No Jumpers for anything!!! That is common now, but at the time it was pretty revolutionary on that level board. All these years later and it is still in use by my wife as a word/internet desktop. It is using a converter to run a Tulation 1400. |
