Intel To Release DTS Data For 45nm Processors


At IDF this year, Intel is expected to unveil information that will lead to improved internal processor temperature monitoring. Intel has never previously disclosed information about the Tjunction value before of its 45nm desktop processors, a value that is needed to accurately measure the internal CPU temperature.

In the near future hopefully we'll see revisions to the various temperature monitoring programs (SpeedFan, Realtemp, Coretemp, etc.) that will incorporate this information, and allow these programs to give results that are consistent with each other.
