| Re: Nvidia Rumoured to Introduce New Breed of Graphics Cards in July. I'm pretty happy with the standing state of video cards right now - with rebates you can get a 8800GT or 9600GT for a real decent price. And without introducing new lines, game development may center around this level of power for a bit and finally start to take advantage of some DirectX10 stuff. I still wish SLI/Crossfire would die off though, I just think that's a poor direction to go into. |

| Re: Nvidia Rumoured to Introduce New Breed of Graphics Cards in July. Any chance that the driver problem with NVIDIA is really a hardware problem? And that is why they are coming out with a new card so soon?

As far as driver problems, read back in this thread. The time in question isn't specified other than in "2007". We don't know exactly what time frame has been quoted but it's got a good chance of being the first half of the year when everyone was trying to get workable Vista drivers out. So, to answer your question I'd say there's nothing wrong with the hardware.

| Re: Nvidia Rumoured to Introduce New Breed of Graphics Cards in July. On thing more, if memory serves the 7900GX2 didn't have a very long lifespan either. Just a couple of months, I think. Then the 8800GTX happened. That's why I'd caution anyone on buying one of these new GX2's. It won't be long before the real 8800 replacement arrives.

| Re: Nvidia Rumoured to Introduce New Breed of Graphics Cards in July. Ah, I see. No, the 9800 series is built on an existing chip, the G92. Nothing terribly new there. The specs for the 9900 series cards are unknown at this time.
