Just bought True Image through the above link. Great product, especially compared with Norton Ghost. Amazing that you can create a logical drive with an image file!

Since I am using it on my audio jukebox PC, the screen is only 640x480. Does anyone know how to properly get True Image to start in this resolution? All the commands are out of screen and I cannot to drag the window with the mouse. Any particular Windows key-commands?

Thanks!

Ok...I just ordered True Image AND Partition Expert!

edit: WOW!! I'm so glad I did.....Partition Expert is about 50 times better than partition magic....I just used it to get some free space on a co-worker's drive that I had trouble getting right with PM about a week or so ago. It was 20 times easier and 30 times faster!!

I used the True Image to make an image before I messed with partitions...it was easy to use. It took about 1 1/2 hours to make the full image, but it was to a usb 1.1 drive over the network....so that could have slowed it down quite a bit. But it was esay to use and seemed to go with no problems.

Question Re: Acronis Discount through ABX!

Has anyone used this product??? How well did it work?

I may pick it up for use on some Win2k and WinXP machines (to replace DriveCopy 3.0 which only works on Win2k and below - and flakes out sometime as it is).

Thanks!

Yes, that has to be the reason. Normally it takes me about ten minutes to create an image of my C: drive onto my D: drive.

I especially like Partition Expert because it does indeed work in server OSes.

TI starts up so much faster very easy to use, though after un-installing powerquest and .NET I had to reconfigure my log-in start-up screen, I guess .NET took it over when powerquest installed it

And hence even before the evil Symantec software claimed ownership of the product I was hating it. One thing is for sure, PowerQuest was already starting to follow the motto of Symantec even before the purchase, "Must make bloatware that owns computer."

Another plus with TI over DI, it actually works with Windows on the network. I cannot get DI to write to my Windows file server (had to switch due to changing to a considerably faster, still not supporting Linux, SATA controller). Also, TI works with the CSA LAN-DI does not.

Ordered it yesterday, and created an image of my 120Gb drive...to write packets of 600Mb files so I can create the "bootable disc" option with assorted images to be burned onto multiple cd's..........took about 1 hour for 95Gb worth of data but I had it write to its own drive.

Does anyone know if I can image my drive with larger sizes & back that data onto dvd's ?

eva2000, I have added the link for Disk Director Suite, and removed the obsolete links. I even updated the coupon code.
