| BEWARE Zone Alarm Update The new Zone Alarm Security Suite, version 8, is a disaster. A visit to the Zone Alarm forums will demonstrate how many problems it creates. If you are using ZASS, DO NOT ACCEPT the update. I cannot get on the Internet until I shut it down. Shutdown is interminable. Other problems also. I am writing this from my wife's computer. The best version of ZASS is reportedly 7.0.483.000. I posted on the Zone Alarm forum, AND THEY REMOVED IT.

| Re: BEWARE Zone Alarm Update I don't use ZoneAlarm, and never will after seeing this. I had a look at the Zone Alarm forums and it's a royal mess they have.

| Re: BEWARE Zone Alarm Update I have had some problem with ZASS 8.0 after I bought the 3-user license version. My PC froze from time to time, and I was asked to register again and again. And there is a problem with their customer service too. When I emailed the Customer Support, they insisted that before they can look into my PC problems, I must have the receipt with the date of purchase, shop where I bought, etc. I asked them why they need such information when my name was already in their database, and I have my product ID number. They repeated the same answer over and over again as if the answer is from a pre-recorded automatic reply. This lasted for more than 3 months!! Unfortunately, at that time I was in another country and could not return for 4 more months. By the time I returned, there would be a new version for the new year. I was upset, and I decided not to use their product any more. It's personal, but their customer service is not going to be helpful. ** NOTE: Just a rant, if anyone looks at what I wrote above. But that is a fact, and I have no regret over my decision. Some may argue any other way, but I was honest to purchase and register the product. I bought and used their products for 3 straight years, buying both online and in-store. When they did not keep their database clean and good for service, they blame me. I was upset at that time, but my decision is not about being upset, rather it is about the time lost for useless communication and service.

| Re: BEWARE Zone Alarm Update Thanks for the warning. I use ZA Free (7.0.483.000), not ZASS. There's no update available for the free version yet, but based on this, I'll pass on it when it's released.
