Yeah, I did upgrade as well a few days ago and mine also now shows that radarscreen icon. When i click on it an infrared satelltie image of Europe is shown. Very neat indeed.

Cool!

What I like about this stuff is it's unobtrusive. The green icon is probably as large as a 20-point "O" and the radar image on mouseover is just a bit larger than the avatars we use here. Of course if you click on it you're brought to the full-size image.

yeah., I like it, but I still wished they had weather.com's data. They are using a different service now, i am sure that weather.com was unhappy with people getting this service for free.

Actually I wish they'd use theweathernetwork.com around here. The metric conversion is OK but wind speeds are in metres/sec. Indecipherable. km/h is the logical choice....

Start here: Firefox: Help, Tips and Tricks and then go here for an example user.js (a link contained in the previous link).

Question Firefox Cookies location?

Hello, Friends.

What do I need to backup and restore to preserve my cookies across a format/reinstall? Thanks, as always, for your help.

This:

You can back up any element of your FF or T'Brid profiles using this software.

I use the forecastfox extension to check my local weather however I would like to have weather displayed in another location.

Here's my question: Is it possible to run two instances of forecastfox in Firefox so I can have two different cities weather data? So I could put one in the toolbar and then one in the status bar maybe?
Just wondering if this is possible or not.

Thanks!

My guess no, only one instance. However, you do have two choices. First, you can set up multiple profiles for the different locations and by right clicking on the weather bar change between them (you can have as many as you like, far more than 2 of them). That's one way to do it. The other is to run a second instance of FF and change the weather profile once the window opens, or have a second FF profile entirely with the second location for the weather as the default.

Nice! I will give that a shot, I think the multiple profile option in forecast fox will suite my needs, just wanted to have two on the screen for simplicity. thanks again.

Greasemonkey v0.3.5

Is anyone here using the Greasemonkey extension in Firefox? You can get it here: http://greasemonkey.mozdev.org/

I wonder who could point me to some useful user scripts for Greasemonkey.

Yes, I've been using it for some months. A word of warning it can be somewhat unpredictable when used with other extensions that may do similar things, so add your scripts one at a time to try them out, and don't use too many of them. The scripts should be ones for functions and sites you use frequently, and personally I would limit them to as few as possible. I think kONGO uses it as well. The attached screen shot shows the ones I currently use, I might want some more, but I just haven't looked at their site recently - I should because I see there has been an extension update that I haven't gotten as yet.
