Google Chrome

Tried it. Interesting and quite fast. Let's see if it has any legs...

Re: Google Chrome

I also have it. It is fast. Now I have to figure out the detachable tabs.

By grabbing the tab you can make individual browserwindows independendant of the original browser window. However once you seperate them it's not too easy to get them back the way they were if you ever wanted to.

You can get them back to where they were. A little harder than separating. This separation is supposed to isolate each window from the other and not crash the entire browser. If it works I think this is goodness.

Brought up abxzone and logged in smooth and fast.

Some of the things you do for a user like you want to print a page so you select printable version. You get the printable page but there is no toolbar for the print command. Intuitive for any experienced user right click mouse and print option is one of the listed commands. Neat I think.

Early tests show that the new Google Chrome browser is faster than IE and Firefox at running Javascript (something the Firefox team disputes)

Speed test: Google Chrome beats Firefox, IE, Safari | Business Tech - CNET News

Firefox counters Google's browser speed test | Business Tech - CNET News

and beats both of those browsers in the Acid3 test

Chrome tops IE, Firefox in Acid3 test | The Web Services Report - CNET News

On the flip side, the beta product is already dealing with early security vulnerabilities

Google Chrome vulnerable to carpet-bombing flaw | Zero Day | ZDNet.com

while questions are being raised over whether Chrome's terms of service are too broad:

"By submitting, posting or displaying the content you give Google a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to reproduce, adapt, modify, translate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute any Content which you submit, post or display on or through, the Services"

Re: Google Chrome

EULA

11.1 You retain copyright and any other rights you already hold in Content which you submit, post or display on or through, the Services. By submitting, posting or displaying the content you give Google a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to reproduce, adapt, modify, translate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute any Content which you submit, post or display on or through, the Services.

11.4 You confirm and warrant to Google that you have all the rights, power and authority necessary to grant the above license.

To make it simple. Everything you do (email, youtube movies, postin etc) with Crome is owned by Google. According to the License.

Re: Google Chrome

Google Chrome is fast, but not always. Sometimes it freezes my PC completely, and for some reason, my PC suddenly lost power, twice, in less than a day using it. Anyway, it is only Beta version, so it's still good to see another style.

I returned to Mozilla Firefox now.
