Google search not working

My son's system running XP Pro is a mess ...
Google loads ok as home page but any attempt to use the search facility just results in 'waiting for HTTP etc' and the search results never appear. Same thing in Firefox and IE7. Ran Adware removed a bunch of things then AVG found a trogen and put it in the vault.

Anyone know of this issue and how to resolve it ?

Re: Google search not working

A couple hours ago I ran into the same thing. I could barely connect to any sites for awhile there. Google search seems ok now too!

Re: Google search not working

He has been installing all kinds of stuff on there ...

He's away at camp for 6 weeks so I figured I would install Vista on another hdd for fun. He has a ASRock 4CoreDualVSTA mobo 4300 cpu @ 2.4Ghz with a X1950Pro and 2GB of ram. It got a score of 5.1 because of the ram.

Can this system game with 2GB of ram or should I just reinstall XP Pro ?
