I just downloaded PDF SpeedUp, halfway down the page. Very impressive! It does exactly what it says and it's simple and bloat-free.

Edit: I do not recommend their AcroPDF PDF writer, at least not the free version. It inserts a large line at the bottom of the page that reads: "To remove this line, please buy a licence." It really works well though - again, fast, simple and bloat-free. It just adds a printer - a PDF printer. I'd buy it if I really needed it.

There is ofcourse the obligatory CPU-Z utility. That *must* be mentioned if it hasn't already.

I found a cool Outlook plug-in that allows me to save embedded attachments. Its called EZDetach:

Outlook Attachments - The Easy Way

* Extract / Save Outlook attachments from one or multiple messages.
* Save email attachments as individual files.
* Delete attachments.
* Regain access to attachments blocked by Outlook as unsafe.
* Organize attachments in file system folders for easy access and sharing.
* Automatically save attachments with Outlook Rules Wizard.
* Reduce mailbox size.
* Process attachments with custom scripts.
* And a lot more...

note: EZDetach does NOT work with Outlook Express

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this but Wintidy is a really good program to move your desktop icons

I kept on getting them moved by lower resolution from my game and standby mode in my laptop, this program resorts them automatically. Now if I could just get rid of that dam icon in my lower right corner.

Startup Control Panel

I was recommended this utility - Startup Control Panel

Startup Control Panel is a nifty control panel applet that allows you to easily configure which programs run when your computer starts. It's simple to use very small and won't burden your system. A valuable tool for system administrators!

I also use Mike's Startup Monitor, which runs a little applet and informs you when a program registers itself for automatic startup (which you can deny).

Every time Quicktime is run, for example, it tries to register itself to run on startup.

I can add another to this list. It's called TuneUp WinStyler.

It allows you to change the appearance of WindowsXP.
