FAR Manager 1.70b5

This is a Norton Commander clone, originally developed by the same people of WinRAR.

You can download it here:

Tons of plugins for FAR Manager can be downloaded here:

Cool Hope this isn't a repost...

This isn't really a utility as much as it is a "desktop enhancement" but I really like this little app called LClock whick gives a new, unique look to your clock in the corner of your screen....

It also has a nice looking calendar to go with it, too.

And the nice thing is it uses hardly any resources, on average between 250-450KB of memory.

Download LClock Now!

Sorry, KT. It never even occurred to me to mention that it was only for Windows XP/Windows 2003. :o

Calendar 2000
This is my favorite calendar program. You can enter Birthday's etc. and keeps me from forgetting all kinds of things. It's free and works with all versions of windows.

The developer is a Russian Software company called SerbiSoft. Their site is in Russian Language, however SBRunScr is dual language i.e. Russian and English.

Because Word is becoming such bloatware, and even OpenOffice.org is pretty bulky, I'm using Jarte (catchline: "Does Your Word Processor Handle Like an Ocean Liner?" )

Very nice, simple, fast word processor without all the gimmicks and fanciness. Stripped back to its basics, as it were. Handles .DOC format natively.

100% free.
