One very cool utility I've found is Total Uninstall.

You know those "bad" applications that leave all sorts of junk behind on uninstall? Well this program will uninstall any program completely. First it scans the registry to determine its initial configuration. Then you install the application through the Total Uninstall program. It even supports the installer restarting the computer before finishing. Once the installer is finished, Total Uninstall scans the registry and the file system to determine what registry changes have been made and what files have been added.

Uninstalling is as simple as having Total Uninstall reverse the process - all added files are deleted and the registry is returned to the state it was in before the program was installed. You don't have to uninstall a program through its own uninstaller or Windows Add/Remove programs and no "suprises" are left behind.

pdfFactory

pdfFactory - excellent alternative to Acrobat - works as a printer driver and quality is very good (though I did increase default settings/resolutions). That said, even on my higher settings it generates quite a smaller PDF file comparatively to Acrobat, and the program itself is only a couple of Mb.

Great. And combined with 'plug-in tweaked' Acrobat Reader, using PDFs is a painless experience!

Pure Text 2.0

"Have you ever copied some text from a web page, a word document, help, etc., and wanted to paste it as simple text into another application without getting all the formatting from the original source? PureText makes this simple. Just copy/cut whatever you want to the clipboard, click on the PureText tray icon, and then paste to any application. Better yet, you can configure a Hot-Key to convert and paste the text for you. The pasted text will be pure and free from all formatting"

http://stevemiller.net/puretext/

Firefox has an extension called CopyPlainText, which does just that mentioned above.

Man, once I found this one i knew i had to share it.

WinUtil:
http://home.werner.no/winutil/default.htm

It adds HAT in the upper-right of all your windows, it will let you Hide (completely gone), Auto-top (will always stay on top of everything), and Transparency (duh...choose between 0 to 100%).

Its great when your chatting and surfing at the same time, A, and T your chatbox, and keep on surfing the web. Also hotkey with alt-A (hide all) and alt-s (show all).

I know the HAT looks ugly, but it has options for skins, just no one has made one yet.

PSBy the way anyone know of a good cascading window program? Some that gives hotkeys to Tile Horizontally, or Vertically. And something that will cascading only the restored and max windows, while leaving the minimized ones alone? I came across WinUtil searching for something like that.

For those that use Hash algorithms for verification purposes and those that also create Hash algorithms for there own files.

Searching for a program to replace DR MD5, I came across SlavaSoft HashCalc a program worth placing in one's security line-up (FREE)

* Support of a custom hash algorithm (MD4-based) used in eDonkey and eMule applications.
* Support of 2 modes of calculations: HASH/CHECKSUM and HMAC.
* Support of 3 input data formats: files, text strings and hex strings.
* Work with large size files. (Tested on file sizes up to 15 GB).
* Drag-and-drop support.
* Quick and simple installation.
* Calculates hash/checksum and HMAC for files of any type: music, audio, sound, video, image, icon, text, compression, etc., with the extensions: .mp3, .wav, .avi, .mpg, .midi, .mov, .dvd, .ram, .zip, .rar, .ico, .gif, .pif, .pic, .tif, .tiff, .txt, .doc, .pdf, .wps, .dat, .dll, .hex, .bin, .iso, .cpp, .dss, .par, .pps, .cue, .ram, .md5, .sfv, etc.

I've been using SlavaSoft's FSUM command-line utility for quite some time. It also is an excellent tool. I use it primarily for automating the checksum generation process for FLAC files when archiving ripped CDs, etc. (it is run from a VBScript in my case).
