(posted this in the "other" utilties thread but I thought I'd copy it here since it seems more active) Great list xD here's a few of my favs: Great list! I'll toss a lil somthing: Miranda IM (Freeware) I really tiny multi-protocol chat client that has tons of plugins you can use to expand its capabilities. Although I only use it as-is (with the Yet Another Pop-up Plugin, YAPP, installed) I'm able to keep in touch with all my friends that use Yahoo, MSN and Googletalk. XnView (Freeware) a small and snappy little photo-viewer, which I find useful to organize and view photos, with some built-in photo-editing capabilities. There's a "batch convert" feature, but unfortunately no "batch rename" which I frequently find need for (any suggestions for a software that has this feature would be appriciated). PHP Designer 2007 (pay) is the first (and only) IDE I ever used, has tons of features (syntax highlighting, built in support for FTP, directory browsing etc. I have no frame of reference, but it just makes my work really easy. Unfortunately Now you only get a free trial; but I had downloaded a previous version (2006) when it was in beta and for free... CCleaner (Freeware) Great for cleaning up windows machines, removing temp files etc and registry cleaning All in all great recommendations all around, I'll return here with fresh eyes because there are a few utilities that I need but have no idea if they exists or whatever...

Re: What Are Some of the Coolest Utilities You've Found I can't remember if it's been posted, but it's updated to work with Vista as well now.. TreeSize Free V2.1 Every hard disk is too small if you just wait long enough. TreeSize Free tells you where precious space has gone to. TreeSize Free can be started from the context menu of a folder or drive and shows you the size of this folder, including its subfolders. You can expand this folder in Explorer-like style and you will see the size of every subfolder. Scanning is done in a thread, so you can already see results while TreeSize Free is working. The space, which is wasted by the file system, can be displayed and the results can be printed in a report. TreeSize Free is freeware for Windows 9x/2000/XP/Vista. JAM Software - Windows Freeware

Re: What Are Some of the Coolest Utilities You've Found Ya know... I found the Dremples here, and gotta admit, that stuff was great! However, I need to find an alternative to Dremples. Loved it, and how it looked, just a HUGE CPU hog. Using in the upwards of 30% - 60% CPU. Anything similar?

GomPlayer The best media player ever. and it's Free!!! Videora iPod Converter I have tried several other converter for my iPod Touch and this program (it's free) works the best. liteCam. I think it's the best way to record streaming videos or Flash movies like YouTube. It's cheaper than other screen recording programs ($19) and has superior quality and very easy to use. It was my first post
