Re: What version of vista do you use

Home Premium 64bit in gaming rig and Laptop, 4gig ram in both. Home Premium 32bit on my wife's Laptop.

Still running XP on my wife's desktop and mine as well.

Although I do not run many extra's on either the gaming rig ( ECCI Steering wheel and Belkin Nostromo gaming pad) or the laptop I have yet to have an issue with Vista running anything I want.

Re: What version of vista do you use

Seem like a lot of folks are using 64b Vista - that's very encouraging!

Ive been running the business 32bit edition for a long time and i really like it the best. I tried the the 64bit but there isnt one good reason to switch.
I am curious as to why you can't find any reason to use the 64 bit version. Isn't that the future direction of the OS market?

I've been using Vista Business 64 for the past few months with zero issues...all my programs and applications work fine...no driver issues--even my 5+ year old Epson printer drivers were automatically found and installed

Re: What version of vista do you use

I checked of Enterprise just because that's the last version of Vista I used and I'm tired of clicking "view poll results" to keep track

Re: What version of vista do you use

I'm getting ready to increase my system memory to 8GB's of ram since DDR2 memory prices are low enough.

Another thing that I liked was that I didn't have to worry about a driver on Vista 64 for my Deskjet 920C printer, Vista 64 had that built in.

Re: What version of vista do you use

I will go to Vista Ultimate when I get a velociraptor.

I am going to try movie maker and the DVD burner. As for WME you can disable it in services.

I heard that one wants the windows media center to run in vista.

From what I've read (lately), the vista wmc works first time every time with every tv tuner and dvd that's tossed in its direction. People with tv-wonders and hauppauges have been not installing and using the OEM software from the tuners claiming that the vista wmc detects the cards and gives excellent tv and video results.
