| Re: 1700 Vostro with XP Funny choice of words given that it was Dell that stepped out of line first and started supplying XP as an alternative to Vista. They ship XP as an option for the Vostro's. The delay had to do with the fact that XP wasn't something they intended to have ready for release to market. So, they had to go back and get things sorted and qualified to function properly on the system then they could release everything. I'd call this finally getting around to releasing the updated drivers. They've been shipping XP on the Vostro's for a long while now. Quote:

| Re: 1700 Vostro with XP Hi again guys, can anyone tell me how to setup the bluetooth option on the 1700? I've tried pressing the FN+F2 keys, but nothing seems to happen, there's no notification that the bluetooth device is on or off? I'm still running XP with no problems, but perhpas the bluetooth device won't work with XP, but not sure. |
