ASUS g1S

Any opinions on how much, if any, performance I will gain going from 4gig of pc5300 to 4gig pc6400. TIA

There is difference, but you will truly only ever notice it if everything you do requires that much extra bandwidth on the memory. Most end users don't do anything that would warrant the memory with the higher bandwidth.

If the difference is a couple bucks grab the faster stuff, if it is a significant amout of money, then don't bother, grab the cheapest.

If you already have the pc5300 i wouldnt waste the money going to the pc6400. But if you dont have either one then i would go with the pc6400.

I just noticed this is a laptop, you better read the manual or ask asus tech support to see if you can run anything faster then pc5300.
