Bad touchpad on Dell Laptop.

I have a Dell C610 that seems to have a bad touchpad. The mouse still moves when you put your fingure on it but none of the bottons work anymore. Before if you tap the touchpad 2 times i would open a folder or whatever like pushing the botton. that no longer works either. I reloaded the laptop that didnt help so right now i have to use a external mouse. my cousin has the c600 and his touchpad has the same problem.

This is a longshot, but when I was experiencing that problem, I had found that the buttons were not making a good solid contact. I took the laptop apart, tightened everything up, and all was good. Worth checking out.

If it turns out you need parts or repair check these guys out : http://www.parts-people.com/

All they do is Dell laptops and their prices and service is very good from my experience.
