| Re: Looking for a laptop with a webcam Walmart has a gateway with 2gig ram, dual core pentium, 160 gig SATA drive, built in webcam, bluetooth, 15.4 widescreen. I bought one for my wife and it is a good rig. $649 but I think it has dropped even more since then. From doing some research, most laptops have built in webcams now. |

| Re: Looking for a laptop with a webcam My HP has a built in webcam. Supposedly 1.3MP (which doesn't mean much) I have used it exactly once to see if it works I guess I'm just not a webcam kind of guy, but what I noticed about it right away was you can't rotate the lens. So, you have to move the entire laptop to focus on anything other then sitting right in front of it. It would be nice if the lens flipped around front at least if not being completely orbital.

I know what you mean about the megapixel thing. MPs don't mean crap about quality. I can't stand it when people at work talk about have a (insert number here)MP camera in their phone. | |

| Re: Looking for a laptop with a webcam You should look at what ACER has to offer. Besides my 3 older desktops and my new ASUS G1S laptop, I have 3 ACER laptops. They are very reasonably priced for what they offer. Actually, I'd like to sell the last ACER I bought. I bought the ASUS because I'm a major impulse buyer

| Re: Looking for a laptop with a webcam I thought the Vostro series was aimed at the buisness community, correct me if Im wrong. I would go with something more like an HP or like you guys said a Gateway.

| Re: Looking for a laptop with a webcam They are. They are also cheap, and come with webcams. Just because they are aimed at businesses doesn't make them less usable at home. In fact you can configure Vostros with XP Home. For no extra charge.
