| The Prescott P4 runs about 25% higher wattage than the Celeron. If the laptop is not specifically designed to accept regular P4's (ie. proper cooling) then it would be a problem. Also take into consideration that if the laptop vendor does not offer a CPU that you want to replace it with, there is no guarantee that speed will even work. Many times the BIOS is tweaked to the laptop maker's specific processor choices.

| Hmmm... ok, is it safe to just try - if it doesn't work I'd just try the new celery D, instead of the regular desktop celery 2.8/128k that the laptop came with ...?
