Hi there, I want to replace my old 17" CRT by a 19" TFT. I have spotted 3 models that look very good according to the various tests I can find on the web, and in my price range: - ViewSonic VP191S - Samsung SyncMaster 191T (or 192T ?) - Iiyama AS4821DT-BK If you have personal experience on one or more of those, I'll welcome your opinion ! Thanks Sylvestre

i'm looking for one as well... if u're playing games, wait for the next generation IPS panels with reaction times <30ms. They should be out already, the LG 1910P looks like one of them. If not, then go for NEC, Viewsonic or LG. Samsung supposedly has awful support in Europe.

Yes, I like to play sometimes, mosly racing simulation, so not as demanding as Unreal. But I'm not even sure that 25ms response time as the VP191S claims is enough for that... I'll wait some more weeks to see what goes out. Thanks for your comment on Samsung's support, always good to know!

I have a 18" Dell, it has the same screen size as a 19" CRT. There is absolute no ghosting in Unreal 2K3. Very brilliant colors, excellent monitor that you can get for less than $400 if Dell has one of their 20% sales (which seems like every week or so) going on. ![]()

| I vote for the Dell 2000FP.... It's 20" of crystal clear bliss... 1600x1200x32 thru DVI-DVI is amazing... .25ms response, but movie playback and gaming is fine... has DVI, VGA, S-Video, and Composite inputs, and allows you to have Pic-in-Pic between digital inputs (DVI and VGA) and video inputs (S-Video and Composite)... Like having 4 monitors in one...
