Graphics Tablet

Anyone have/use one? I see sizes A4 A5 A6 and resolutions and depths/levels of pressure quoted for these things....but what is a practical one for a budding artist to use (not me you understand) mainly for use in photoshop  in advance

I'm using a Wacom Graphire 4 Classic, and I'm quite happy about it. They come in bigger sizes, but personally, I think that's kind of unpractical. I find it harder to work on a huge sized tablet than on this decent medium one, though, that partly depends on the way you draw as well. When it comes to levels of pressure etc., more is indeed better. I wouldn't say it's necessary to go over the top, but a decent 512 can be very nice. If you choose a low amount of levels, it can result in pressure transitions being choppy, and that doesn't look nice. I do think that, when buying a tablet, Wacom is the way to go. It may cost a little more, but that really does pay off in the end. They're the best tablets out there in my opinion, and that of many other people out there.

Wacom's Graphire series is great. You can get a Graphire 3 for pretty cheap - it's just as good as the 4 but the 4 has two handy buttons at the top of the tablet.
