| Monitor questions? Acer AL2416WBSD 24'' Hey guys , I've been shopping around for a good deal on a LCD Monitor recently, and I just ordered this, I guess It would have been wise to ask first, then order, but the place has a great return policy, so it's all good, haha. Let me know what you guys think! I don't know alot about Monitors , but a 24'' for 349.00 from what i've seen around the net is amazing. Display: * Viewable Image Size: 24" * Optimal Preset Resolution: WUXGA 1920 x 1200 * Pixel Pitch: 0.28 mm * Brightness: 400 cd/m2 (typical) * Contrast Ratio: 1000:1 (typical) * Viewing Angle: 160° H, 160° V * Response time: 5ms typical Input Connection: * Digital DVI-D with HDCP1 * Analog RGB General: * VESA (100mm) wall mountable * Silver Chassis * Dimensions (w/stand): W 22.7" x H 18" x D 8.7" * Weight: 20 lbs. * Warranty: 3-Year Limited Warranty I know the Inputs are kinda limited, but what do you want for 349? Seems the resolution is good, the 5MS seems good, I've seen more expensive monitors at 8, onlything that kinda concerns me is the 1000:1 and the 400 cd/m2 brightness. I want your honest input , If it's bad let me know so I can return it, haha. I'd post a link, but I'm not allowed to yet o_O (spammers ruin everything.. )p.s.(my first post, Hi guys! ) |

| Re: Monitor questions? Acer AL2416WBSD 24'' I have the 2216 which is the same as yours just the 22" widescreen instead of 24". The only beef I have had with mine is it doesn't have a button on the front like many widescreeens to make it go from 16:9 to 4:3 It relys on the video drivers to do that. Until the most recent NVIDIA offering only ATI cards or NVIDIA cards with older drivers could do that. The new NVIDIA driver lets you fix the aspect so all is now good wit the monitor. Works great an no ghosting in games. |

| Re: Monitor questions? Acer AL2416WBSD 24'' No experience with the Model you ordered BUT with the Brand "ACER" Itself.....Very good! Setup a business customer with 2 19" ACER LCD's 3 years ago.....Both are still working like the day I bought them! Very good monitors! Same company also has 2 ACER laptops and they love them as well.
