| Hello Everyone.... I'm sure this has been covered before, so please be patient. My keyboard has a Power Off - Sleep - Wake up buttons on it. I know what the Wake up does, but what is the difference between the other 2 ? and when i do use the Power Off or the Sleep, when i press the Wake up or press a key on the keyboard sometimes it wakes with no problems, but most of the time i get some form of error.....is this normal ? and what are my best chances for settings in the BIOS and or the Windows Control Panel for the Power Management ? Thanks fvlmasl2

| The OFF option will turn your PC OFF (If you have not disabled the soft-off option in the OS/MoBo) the SLEEP option will place your PC into one of several different states of SLEEP (STANDBY) mode, which state depends on which settings your BIOS and OS would currently be supporting, APM or ACPI. Related topics have been covered on this forum concerning STANDBY, APM and ACPI, etc. I suggest, you do a search for these key words in both this and the old read only forum (found at the site's main page) it will give you a wealth of information on the subject. Trust this helps, good luck. ![]()

| I would assume that there is some kind of software that goes with the keyboard that needs to be installed, and then there should be some kind of setup probobly in the control panel. This would also have to work in conjunction with your bios settings.
