Unhappy Printer misalignment problem...

Is there a way to adjust a printer's page alignment? Not sure if I'm saying this right so I'll just get to what is going on.

I have an Epson photo 820 and I can't print business cards on it because it won't line up the cards right, ie; it won't stay inside the lines. The top 2 come out sort of OK, but as you go down the sheet they get worse, the text is printed too high and the top line is cut off. They are properly set up in Word with the right model # for the sheets.

It also does the same thing with address labels. The printer is fine for anything else, even photos, but I am guessing that they don't require as much precision.

So, my question is, can this be adjusted? or do I need a new printer?

The print head alignment utility does nothing for this...

Thanks

What are you using to produce the images / text to go onto the business cards? Within software such as Word, there are pre-set templates for many of the popular label formats, which should work automatically in your set up. You just type in the text into the layouts

Failing that, you can create your own templates to do the job - rather than waste real labels, I have previously mocked the layout up on plain paper, copied it and played around to get the printing right in the past.

Thanks for your reply.

I am using the preset templates in Word, I matched the Avery model # and everything. I can make some copies of the labels to play around with but I'm not sure how to go about playing with it. It seems like the sheets are not feeding right, as if something is off in the printer.
