Thermaltake BlacX SATA external USB Dock

Picked up a cool new device this week.

I tested it briefly my plugging into a USB port on the front of my case and found but it would refind itself once in a while ...

The solution from what a read is to plug it into a USB port on the back of the mobo.

Re: Thermaltake BlacX SATA external USB Dock

I emailed them about the resetting issue this morning and this is the reply ..

Thank you for contacting Thermaltake.

To save the power and HDD, it will going to idle. But if you are transfer files or have any works on this HDD. It won't turn into the idle. And it only take about 3~5 seconds to get out from idle mod.

If you have any further question or suggestion, please feel free to contact us at anytime. We value your business and opinion.

Have a great day and thank you for choosing Thermaltake.

It looks like a great way to use you extra drives without putting in a external box! I've seen a couple of reviews and they all seemed to like it!
