| Whats up with with my mouse flashing for like 5sec to a minute before my computer boots whenst im OC'd to like 1ghz. Its rather annoying, it appears its trying to access the USB port for something but then it just quits and boots. Anyone else know of this problem or possible a fix? -defrag

| Try setting the bios legacy usb to enabled, not auto. Or even disabled. I noticed that this gets worse with the 1005 beta bios series. I am using 1004.003 without problems (usb set to enabled). |

| The is because of the hand-off between the BIOS' Legacy Support and the O/S taking control of it. Like the dude said, you can try to disable it if you don't like it...

| or simply get bios 1006 beta 1 and that fixes everything

| I just noticed the same problem. Its intermittent and sometimes doesn’t boot at all, or at least after 30 seconds, until I unplug the mouse. I’m only at 140 FSB due to the decrease in performance above 140 in Windows 2k. I don't think it has anything to do with over clocking because it did it at 133 FSB. | I had the same problem (P3 700E @ 1029). It went away with bios 1006-1. System boots/reboots quicker and O/C is slightly better. |
