USB Memory Key Recommendation PLEASE

Greets,

Two years ago I bought the Transflash JetFlash 2GB drive. It turned out to be JUST AWFUL on small files. Since I use it as a backup of my data files (to transport back and forth to work), small files dominate.

If anyone out there has a new/current USB Flash Drive which they have found to be fast, including writing of small files, please let me know the make and model!

Thanks!

SanDisk Cruzer Titanium USB Flash Drive 2GB

http://www.sandisk.com/Products/Cata...ash_Drive.aspx

Comes with U3 (loads fast)
Bundled software includes Avast! antivirus (U3 version)

Very fast and got a "Kickass" ratiing from MaximumPC magazine (November 2006)

There is a 4MB version but I don't know if it is widely available yet.

Happy trailz,

I lost mine about a month ago and need to start looking for a replacement.

The only requirement I need is it has to go on my key chain... any suggestions?

The above confirms what I have found ... roundups are a year old.

I wish there were more recent, but there arent ... which is why I was hoping for some help.

In any event, if anyone out there knows of a 4GB drive which is of the higher write speed variety (9 MB/s is by no means high speed these days), I would love to hear your recommendation.

Thanks!

I love my 1gb PQI Pro170. It's only a gig, but it is so amazingly small and just as fast as any other flash drive I've used.

I've also used washed this drive a couple of times (on accident of course) and it comes out just fine.

Lexar would be my recommendation. I have a 512 that I use for small file transfers while working on client machines and it's very fast.

I have a 1GB Sony Microvault.

I selected it because it doesnīt use a CAP to protect the USB connector. Instead, itīs got a slider to expose/hide it.
