Exclamation

Hi everyone.
I have a problem.
I've bought a IBM 46,1Gb UDMA-100 harddisk. The problem is that when I benchmark it, it gets the performance of a UDMA-33 harddisk. The benchmark program is SiSoft Sandra.
Another thing, I can't upgrade my BIOS. When I run the flash and it is about to verify the ROM it just stops and says it failed to verify EEPROM.
Please help me if you can.
Regards
Steel

My IBM ATA100 gets a Disk Transfer Rate of 37.4 MB/sec (Beginning) and 36.4 MB/sec (End) using the WinBench test. That's all you can expect of that Drive on an IDE interface and those numbers are up to IBM specs.

stesam, try defragmenting your hard drive before you run the benchmark. If you have a very fragmented drive, you will get lower benchmark scores.

And about the bios flashing problem, try to use the dos program if you're using the windows one.
