Let's try my ram's max 1:1 speed of 278mhz 3-3-2-5 at 2.64v

3dmark06 = 5,432
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=11767

Let's try @2900mhz cpu with 180 divider with ram @263mhz 3-3-2-5 at 2.64v

3dmark06 = 5,472
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=12091

How about we change the resolution of the 3dmark06 to 1600x1200 and see how it fairs

3dmark06 @1600x1200

10x260HTT = 2600mhz
2GB OCZ PC4000EB @260mhz 3-3-2-5 at 2.64v

@621/747 = 3,613
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=20166

@702/801 = 3,968
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=19764

@756/900 = 4,253
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=18818

@810/900 = 4,447
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=19105

@816/981 = 4,544

  • 1GB of system RAM or more - 1.5GB of free hard disk space
  • Windows® XP operating system with latest Service Packs and updates installed
  • DirectX® 9.0c December 2005 or later
  • Microsoft Excel® 2000, 2003 or XP for some 3DMark functionality
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 for some 3DMark functionality
* To run the HDR/SM3.0 graphics tests, a DirectX 9 compatible graphics adapter with support for Pixel Shader 3.0, 16 bit floating point textures and 16 bit floating point blending is required.
Well, I wasn't sure if my system could run it or not and now I know - NOT! That's what you get with a 2 year old system I guess. It said I didn't have pixel shader 2.0 but when I click the 3dmark06 system info button I have it:

Radeon 9600
256MB
AGP Aperture set to 64
Driver Version 6.14.10.6360
pixel shader version 2.0

The demo works but I'm getting maybe 2 FPS

3dmark06 is heavily biased to nvidia due to SM3.0 but you should try 1600x1200 4xAA/8xAF on both X1800XT and 7800GTX and see how it turns out due to nVidia's lack of HDR + AA support heh

with that said, been ages since i messed with my 256MB BFG 7800GTX card decided to try stock speeds with HeavyH20 rev4 bios

Opteron 170 @2600mhz
DFI NF4 UT SLI-DR R.AB0 1114-3 bios
1x 256MB BFG 7800GTX stock heatsink air with HeavyH20 rev4 bios stock @473(525)/1350

3dmark06
@473(525)/1350 = 4,997

ahh well that explains alot To me my score seems very low considering a 6800 Gt gets about 2000 and it has ps 3 but my X850 gets 2138, But in 3dmark05 I beat a Gt by almost 2000 points I guess Ati just needs time to work on drivers for 06.
