Talking 3DMark06 Thread. *Post Your scores here*

The release of 3DMark06 is just hours away now. So I thought I'd take the initiative to start up a 3DMark06 Thread! Get out the fire extinguisher and let the Benchmarking begin!!

lol, I'll be there when it's downloadable! I'll post my poor scores once I download it. :P

I have a nice 7800gtx with a poopi Newcastle 3500+. We'll see what I score....

Wonder how my x800xl. If anytng ever really showed that upgrading your gpu every year to play the latest games, it would be the 3dmark series.

It looks like 12 noon eastern time is when it will be available on Gamespot. They have a countdown timer now. 6 hours 33 min and counting.

3DMark®06 Basic Edition (Build 1.0.2)

Minimum System Recommendations

  • Intel® or AMD® compatible processor 2.5GHz or higher
  • DirectX® 9 compatible graphics adapter with Pixel Shader 2.0 support or later, and graphics memory of 256 MB minimum*
  • 1GB of system RAM or more - 1.5GB of free hard disk space
  • Windows® XP operating system with latest Service Packs and updates installed
  • DirectX® 9.0c December 2005 or later
  • Microsoft Excel® 2000, 2003 or XP for some 3DMark functionality
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 for some 3DMark functionality
* To run the HDR/SM3.0 graphics tests, a DirectX 9 compatible graphics adapter with support for Pixel Shader 3.0, 16 bit floating point textures and 16 bit floating point blending is required.

Looks like all the normal sites have it available now (Guru3D, majorgeek, fileshack). I got one going now from Guru3D should be done in 1/2 hour. All servers are jammed and probably will be for the next couple of days. Looks to be about 576.6MB according to download manager. Here we go!!

This benchmark makes a 7800gtx look like squat. I got 500 in 3dmark03, and now I'm going to get 500 in 3dmark06, damn! I just wanted to leave the under 1k score zone, but I spose it'll never happen.
