Wow either its just me or the AMD rigs are ripping through 2001SE. Im running 6800Ultra so id figure its within the performance of the X800's. My FSB is 1:1 with DDR @ CAS 2.5 / 3 /3. Just surprised to see such a large margin considering the similarities in the GPU's performance. Do AMD rigs (im noticing a FX55 trend) really slap around OCD P4?

Current System..
(btw 6800U was clocked at default 425/1.1 for this run)

SuperPI Score : 1M = 38sec

I just noticed that my rig is 4th top for appr. CPU/GPU. Guess it aint so bad afterall. I should be able to climb to 3rd with some GPU O/C.

In 3DMark01, AMD A64's have a definite advantage over P4's. There are a lot of theories about why that is. A64's have shorter pipelines than Pentiums and generally deliver more bandwidth on a clock-for-clock basis.

Does this translate to other FUTUREMARK scores? (ie, 2k5/2k3)

All i know is my CPU with a 13x multi keeps me from hitting over 255-257 FSB. My ram is rated CAS 2.5 up to 257, even raising CAS wont take it past 257 100% stable. Northbrige has a passive HS that i polished and applied AS3 to. Not sure how much heat NB puts out especially with a 255 FSB, maybe ill put a fan. Im also questioning PSU power since system is loaded and the 6800u dosent help the OC issue since i have yet to upgrade PSU to a 550W one. Ive unplugged the raptors for now since system becomes unstable at any GPU OC while there conected.

The A64 advantage is mainly in 3DMark01 which is more of a system bench. You need both CPU and GPU power to do well. 3DMark03 is much more video card dependent and 3DMark05 is extremely video card dependent.

The interesting thing is that the people who have SLI systems get big scores in 03 and 05. But dual graphics cards seem to have very little impact in 01.

Awesome Sierra! You squeezed out over 600 points if I'm not mistaken! What made the difference?

I tried the Ricky tweak. Have to lower CPU speed when I use it, however.

Managed to get a personal best in Car Low. CPU @ 3303MHz. A better Nature score and I would have gotten close to 41K. Maybe next time.
