Update and broke 53,000 points.

edit : CPUZ reports E6400 at the top.But that's only because of the multiplier I set to eight.The CPU is the X6800.

Hello World!

Today my PC scored 11578 3Dmarks.

This may not sound that much of a score, but i let it run with everything set to maximum @ 1280 x 1024 pix.

It's a real pleasure watching those benchmarks with that much picture quality.

Maybe my P-III is a bottleneck in the system, being not able to bring the 7800GS to it's full potential, but i'm still very pleased with it.

P.S.: Looked at the first posts in this thread. Look at the scores at that time, with that hardware, at those resolutions and detail levels.
Ran the Grace demo from Nvidia. Very old one, but looks so beautiful now. Now the skirt of the dancer looks really real. I remember seeing it faulty for many, many years (with diff. graphic cards)

yup, w/o overclocking, I get about 10k, with my new(er) x850pro/256MB...

I just wish I could put more mem on this fine mobo, and tualy was the cream of the crop, a wonderful lil' cpu indeed

44097. Nice to break 40k with my new system. Just for fun, my Voodoo5 system (bottom of sig) scores 1701. So its 26 times faster than my system of 7 years ago

Hi bajo, do you think the sapphire 512 MB card is loud?
It's very slim with this heatsink and fan, but imho it makes too much noise. The noise level was described "moderate" somewhere.
Maybe "moderate, compared to the 5 case fans running at full speed all the time".

Honestly Druffus,
I have 12..+ loud fans all over the rig, and I really do not pay much attention to the card noise.. however, I do not think it is that loud, now that you mentioned it....

Huh, the "new" rig scored 16,098 points yesterday.

Everything on stock, all services running, nothing tweaked, not everything installed correctly, etc. etc. so i expect higher scores in the future.
