| Also MY cpu score is about 11,000 so my cpu is a nice p4 with a zalman so I'm fine with that. I would like to learn more about cooling my graphics card. |

| Well, if you frequent the Aquamark3 forum, many have said those fantastic scores are nothing more than crooked users disabling Anisotropic Filtering outside of the benchmark. Thus, adding a considerable increase in result. On the other hand, I believe this may be part of the equation. I have searched high and low for such a bone and have found that the old Rivatuner was such an animal. However, it does not support driver 51.75. Conversely, those hell-bent on sidestepping the man, can achieve the same result by massaging the registry a wee bit. If you really analyze some of those results, they do appear to divulge possible hanky panky… On the flip side, I would love to get my meat hooks (tofu for vegetarians) on AMD’s Opteron 248 so that pointreyes can pilot my 246… Quote:

| Gamer: I do not think the young woman was trying to imply your scores were erroneous. Nonetheless, a well-seasoned, strapping fellow like you know there will always be bats in the belfry. As long as you have competition and software to be exploited, you will have individuals attempting to thwart the software police. I tend to believe that some of the scores exhibited are slightly “massaged” as well. If you held a sausage to my head, I would say some of those top scores are achieved by intelligent and well-informed propeller heads that have a great knowledge of the registry and insight to the nVidia driver. Other than that, your score is incredible. Quote:

| Well all I can say is I ran it in default mode as I would run 3dm03 (only was able to clock much higher on cpu and gpu) Specs and settings at time of bench were: P4C-800e 259 FSB 1:1, turbo, pat on, 2.5,3,3,8 2.8v (ocz pc3700gold) Only settings made to card were with the control panel for the 51.xx dets and using coolbits set AA/AF to "controlled by application", turn off V-sync And overclocked my card as high as it would go (was a nice cool evening as well).... No reg hacks,no blurry graphics,no magic pixie dust Just a straight up bench on a heavily overclocked rig All in all it took me about 15 runs to work my way up to that score.. any more on CPU or GPU and it would lock after the test was run (hit a few 62,5xx) or the thermal protection would kick in on the 5900u and downclock the card. Those are the facts |
