I'll bet you get another 2,000 if you use the 81.84 driver. If only it wasn't so buggy.

I pray that nVIDIA will release a more stable one very quickly which also works in ALL my games and not just the new ones!

Look at what my 3.2 at 3.8, Ballistix running 2.5-2-2-5, and X800XTPE at 550/575 did. Getting awfully close to those new 7800's. As a note I think tha I reached the Powerstream's max output with everything plugged in as in my sig

Not bad score for a P3. You have any plans to upgrade that speed demon Drufuss?

The only things i could upgrade would be the sound-card (X-FI?) but that´s not linux supported, or the graphics card (X850 XT PE would be fastest AGP card) but this would by too expensive (550 Euro??)

I can play HalfLife (1) at 1280x1024, all eye candy, way over 60 fps permanentely; and BF2 at 800x600, Low Details, over 30 fps most of the time, and i´m comlpetely happy with that.

Will have to check my frames in Colin McRae Rally 2005, but it´s over 30 permanentely i think too.

I think i won´t start upgrading anymore, but stop buying new games (still have a lot to finish or replay). Not sure if i ever buy another computer some day at all. Maybe just use this one as long as it runs (and is supported).

Greetings

Dru

Kudos to you bud for your approach on this!!

It's a fresh breeze of air hearing you talk like that in all this crazy mad upgrade hysteria... (looking at myself too).

But you are so right: if you are happy with it there is absolutely no reason to upgrade as long as your hardware is supported.
