My early Ati results without the Cats (omegas) and no tweaking on my end of the system...I can definitely get this score higher with some tinkering..cause this score is too low IMO for the Radeon9800Pro.

http://arc.aquamark3.com/arc/arc_sea...tiveRunID=6783

Some of those ATi results..I have since been pushed to #3, simply rock.

46,745... Not too bad for a little old 2GHz processor ... Some of those "other" scores are just slightly higher with a 1500MHz+ advantage...

46,745

Snipped from my newsserver (alt.comp.periphs.videocards.nvidia)

* * * * * * * *

I'm a whopping 3.5 fps behind the ATI card and I am using the 45.33 drivers,
so nobody can whine that they are "cheating" drivers.

I'd say that although it's not on top, it's doing just fine. Only one card
can be on top at a time, but when there is only a 3fps differential...that's
pretty good.

Well, perhaps I should have rekindled my marriage with my old flame the Radeon 9800 Pro 256MB. Aquamark3 seems to fancy the Canadians. Check out my core and memory settings @ 504/960. I think I smell something burning!

I may play around with the FSB speed along with voltage and tweaking options of the SK8N for both the CPU and DDR. This should provide a royal spanking to many of those Intel box’s out there…

Again, I am at a 1.5GHz disadvantage. Can you imagine if AMD released an Opteron 3.0GHz processor?

Are you not a dual cpu setup? I thought you had 2?

No. I couldn't fit the Tyan dually in the CoolerMaster TAC-101 OR the Lian Li 6070. I went with the SK8N... Actually, I am not an overclocker. I would say over drinker or over spender. However, this Aquamark3 hullabaloo is turning me into a gigging little schoolgirl…

Another info bit from the news server...

*********************************************

As of this point there are 2,440 logged scores.

#1 AquaMark Score: 60023 (CPU: 12247, GFX: 7947)

P4 running at 3965 MHz (nice overclock) with a 9800

#2440 AquaMark Score: 3705 (CPU: 3748, GFX: 390)

AMD 1.4 and a GeForce 256 (can't imagine what that ran like)

The 9800 has 8 of the top 10 Aquamark scores. The highest Nvidia score, #9,
is using the 51.75 driver.

The top Aquamark gfx score went to a 5900 ultra o/c'd at 602 / 1002 MHz.

The 9800 has 7 of the top 10 gfx scores.

9800Pro has the edge, but when you compare systems that are comparable with
different cards, it's close...within 3-5 fps.

I concur! Be forewarned, this is going to become a blood bath between the French Canadians of ATI and Ho Chi Min of nVidia... You should see nVidia spitting out drivers faster than mama spitting out brats from the Walton’s... Throw in Valve’s comments about nVidia and Aquamark’s favoritism for the Radeon, and the recent kick to nVidia’s groin by FutureMark and it is quickly looking like Armageddon for nVidia.
