Well, my little old 1.4 Ghz could only get 33,448. However, I really do wonder what will happen with PC2700 since I'm currently stuck at PC2100. Sure wish I could oc these procs now.

ATI Catalyst 3.7's and an ATI 9800 non pro overclocked to 420/333. Air cooled. No other tweaks or elsewise. Shame I can't get into the 50-60K's like some others here, but whatcha gonna do.

EDIT: BTW, Nice spelling on smoothly there in the screen shot.

One thing is obvious from my score and comparsion to the other 9800 cards: my clock speeds are severely lower.

Point:

Remember the error I was having with W2K3. Well, it was telling me my printer port was disabled. I disable EVERYTING in my BIOS that I am not using. Apparently, W2K3 was looking for this...

Thanks!

On the home page for Aquamark3 it specifically states that extensive DX9-8-7 are used throughout the benchmark. I think only about 10-15% is DX9.

http://www.aquamark3.com/

So this benchmark is not strictly DX9. Thus the older cards perform to forgiving standards.

Re: Re: Radeon AIW 8500

Where do you get fifteen percent usage of DX9?

Thats the point I have trying to make about this benchmark. Its mostly a gaming performance benchmark. Its obviously looks extremely different then 3dmark2k3. If you look at the textures between the 2, aquamark3 looks more like 3dmark2k1.

This Aquamark3 benchmark is a bit of a non-event in my opinion.

It doesn't go for very long, it's all in the same vein. For the amount of hype this thing has got it's pretty sad, it's based on a game that's already been released and wasn't very good as far as I could tell.

bah.

In regards to the percentage, I am just guessing, but I thought I was being more than generous. I really cant identify any DX9 scenes. Run 3dmark2k3 real quick, and look at the textures. You can see DX9 all over the place. Then run 2k1, and then aquamark3, they look very similar in textures... Tryit and reply back please..
