The latest Intel driver for the motherboard seems to help 7950X2 scores significantly, aquamark score went up and also 3D mark 2005 (which seemed to be buggy , could only score around 9000 points with this setup and have tried all driver versions.)

I don't know what mine is, the stupid ORB submission is broken and it latest version doesn't let you view your scores at the end except online. How STUPID.

huh I might have thought you would get a little better then that with that setup especially with such a strong CPU OC, but probably would show better in 3Dmark06 which is much more CPU intensive and multithreaded. I can get around 14000 with the below specs but the dual GPU's helps a little of course.

Still the Thermalright Ultra 120 hansje, under orthos prime CPU is at 61°C measured with Coretemp, Asus probe indicates 54°C.

Ordered a Swiftech kit hope to have it next week or so, still have to learn how to handle this Striker, very weird and buggy mobo ( Nvidia this chipset needs loads of tinkering !!!)

Vcore here measured with Asus probe don't have a digimeter, in bios set at 1.5750 due to Vdroop real 1.47 volts apparently.

Have you tried to reseat the bugger ? not too much AS5 ? good case cooling ? is the heatspreader flat ? I didn't lap mine by the way. E6600 tend to get hot, that's why I ordered a WC setup.

I'll try to lower my OC to yours is that 8 x400 then ? my Striker board is FSB max at the moment is 450mhz stable

Maar hollandse overclokers doen het altijd beter he

I tested the Zalman 9500 led, the thermalright is much quieter and dropped temps by 4-5°C. And that was compared to the zalman at full speed which is earshattering. Plus I only have a Papst GL fan which rotates at 1400rpm max ( according specs but Asus probe reads out 1600rpm ) but I love te air it puts trough and it cools great.

Hope the Apogee waterblock can nibble few degreeeeeeeeeeeees off

Well that's a nice score anyway mate, I just run these benches to see if the system is stable after an overclock. I do a loop of 10, if it survives that and then a day Orthos blend test, then it can be shipped to it's customer...

In real performance ( in comparison of our scores) when playing at 1280 x 1024 you won't notice much difference, only in the higher resolutions with all the eyecandy on, mine might remain playable while yours might drop below 24fps.

Nice system dude , many hours of happy gaming ahead !!
