Interesting. Right now, the top 17 scores in 3DMark05 are all X800XT PE's. Still very early. Highest 6800 Ultra score so far is 6781. Top score is 7726. Macci has yet to do a serious run, so we'll see what happens.

I'm eagerly awaiting your run as well Sierra. Do you have phase cooling now for your video card or are you still using water?

Still using water for the card. Waiting for my motherboard to be sent back to me. It's undergoing mods. Looking at some of the other scores on the ORB, I should be able to get over 7000 fairly easily. But I won't be able to bench until the weekend.

I'm very close to ordering a gpu cooler. Would take 2-3 weeks before I got it.

The problem Nvidia is going to have is that it's going to be hard to use extreme cooling on the SLI. Putting a phase change or cascade cooler on one card isn't difficult. But two cards presents a problem. In another day or two, someone is probably going to go over 8000 with an X800XT. Most of the top benchers are using ATI cards.

You don't think that we'll be able to sneak a GPU block in there? I didn't think they'd be that close together.

However, those SLI results are incredibly low. Also, everything they're testing that on is preproduction (at least I'm pretty sure nForce4 hasn't come out yet :-P).

Do I get a prize if I can get the lowest score on a cyrix 266 compaq?

This is with everything at default (no OC).

I haven't ran yet with:

+4% FSB + 109.24 PEG + 560/560 ATI X800 XT

yet.
