Hey all, at least y'all are able to run 3d03. My system locks up or either my monitor loses a signal and goes to stand-by mode. Nothing is OC'd and I've tried all I know what to do. Oh, this is on a new 3D Prophet 9700 pro I got from Newegg today. Getting a little frustrated

. Thinking I should've stuck with my Abit Siluro G$ Ti4600

Anyway, if maybe y'all could share your ATI settings with me, maybe that'll help, or point me to a 9700 pro settings thread. I did a search and didn't see anything, may have overlooked though.

The Tests the nVidia cards are getting mullered on are the DX8.1 ones. (tests 2 and 3)

your box wont run it??? that is odd, you are running a similar system to me. it runs on mine just fine.
Is your CPU oc'd when trying to run it, or did you turn it down? maybe it is your voltage, 3D'03 seems to be pretty CPU intensive.

hopefully someone else will get on here and say something,

Yea, pretty disappointing. Nothing OC'd. Even tried removing and reinstalling drivers and even reseated the vid card. I'm at a loss.

When I first got the 9700pro, to make it work right (even coming from a 8500LE 128), I had to format and reload the system. Clean install. Your going to have to do it. Load DX8.1 before DX9. I find I don't like 9 just by itself. Make some backups of your files with a USB drive or burned to CD, then format. I even tried to re-install windows over itself but didn't work either. Just recently, my power extension plug which was loose, corrupted my harddrive (cause I was dumb enough to piggyback it) and had to again, format and reload cause the drivers wouldnt install at all. It's what you got to do.

actually we figured it out, it wasn't getting enough power. he switched the wiring around and got it too work. i am sure he will say it too

This was for 3dmark2003. If you got 15000 on that with a Ti4200 you are a god!!
