i was using hd tach too...
you might want to check those raptors, i sent one of mine back cause it was stalling from time to time, as i recall my resaults were around the 60's at the time...
may be the controller of the mobo though...

HDTach Bench's

First pic are the raptors raid 0, second is the ITE raid 0 2 WD JB 80's & third is the new Seagate 200GB ATA drive, fourth is the WD JB 80.
As you can see the Seagate ATA blows past both WD JB 80's no matter what configuration you put them in. But nothing compaes to the raptors that's for sure.

I'm a little concerned . My results are in the pic.

My burst speeds seem to be close to you guys BUT the sequential read is no-where near you all.

hey guys can someone enlighten about something else. I just noticed that my sequential read line is all jagged and up and down. Most of yours start high and run in pretty much a straight line and taper off. What the heck is going on. ???

I would also like to know the answer to this question, in addition what stripe size is everyone using on their raptors?

I think I have an answer on this but I sure would like a feedback.
When I benched the drives were empty and found it pretty jagged and up and down. Then when I had some files filling about 10% of one partition and re-benched I found the line in that storage point (point the specific filled somehow partition is/starts) to be straighten.
The more filled Hdd the more the straight line is.

Also found when setting PCI speed at 36Mhz the bench gets a little better in sequential read and a more better in burst speed but only for SATA RAID not for the ATA drive which remains the same.
